solenoid has been leaking for about a week now and i've gone through 3 gaskets. its getting annoying. i'm not throwing any codes. can i get some help?

 

why would leaky solenoid throw a code? post a picture or be more specific

 

it would throw a code if it was the oil press sensor or spool valve. no codes and if its not electrical its a mechanical issue and i can't pinpoint it.

 

and to be even more specific at the top of third gear about 7500 vtec kicks out/ sometime fuel cut and this doesnt happen in any other gear. oil will run out from the vtec solenoid gasket at warm up but only about 10 seconds or so. more or less it leaks intermittently after it decides to ruin gasket after gasket.

are you using the correct gasket? what kind of solenoid? jdm obd0, obd1 or obd2??? you might be using the wrong gasket. or you might need to replace the other gasket.

 

my solenoid on my 97 gsr is doing the exact same thing.......... its my second gasket and im wondering WTF??

 

alright. so i figured it out. the oil was too thick. and i'm currently using an obd0 off an integra xsi. so far 800 leak free miles. and i use the 99-00 si gasket.

 

it is still occasionally popping in and out at high rpms so i'm kaking sure a my connections are solid. if that doenst help im gonna switch out the ecu clips on the body harness
