I bought this car about 3 weeks ago and it ran fine up untill last week. Every once in a while i will be driving it and it wont accelerate at all past 3k rpms.. it seems like the more i step on it the more it dies and bogs down and if i push the gas pedal down about an inch or so it accelerates very slowly but surely. In neurtal it revs fine but as i said about every couple days or so it will act up again and leave me stranded because getting it going takes to long and traffic behind me gets frustrated. There is no CEL anyone know what this problem could be? The car has the stock motor.

 

change your spark plugs and possibly your wires.

 

ive had that happen it was the plugs wires one wasnt pushed completely on it had too much rubber had to be trimmed a little then it ran fine but if you turn the car off then back on it stops doing it
