My car has an eBay special muffler on it right now, along with two resonators and it is still too loud for my tastes. I would like to replace the muffler with a standard oval canister, 2.25" inlet and either a 2.25" or 2.5" outlet. Would prefer something with no big shiny tip, as I plan on painting it black.

Any suggestions?

but if you're on a budget like most are, a magnaflow universal oval and some welding will get you what you're looking for for 1/3 the price.

 

or a vibrant streetpower stealth is good plus its already black. and welded the same as the magnaflow would.

but the smallest tip size is still 3" even with a 2.25 inlet.

 

yeah vibrant is good too. really any good oval universal performance muffler. magnaflow seems to easiest to find from various sources, that's the only reason i mentioned it.
