Default Busted lower block (girdle)

I have a 2006 rsx type s with a hole in the bottom of the block. My question - is it possible to replace the lower block without taking out the transmission or removing the engine? Will the crank fall out? Any info will be helpful thx.

Take the motor out. How did you get a hole in your girdle?

tranny has to be disconnected from the motor anyway once you replace it. Its easier to do everything with the motor out, believe me. I have gone through 3 motors
