Icon2 Check Engine code 41 quick question please help!

Ok I got a check engine light, I just got the car bought it from a friend, anyways my friend told me he lost the gas cap when he got gas he forgot to put it on and thats when the check engine came on, it has a gas cap now, but just one that he had in his garage, the code that I got when I tested was 41 which is air fuel ratio, so I want to know if I buy the stock or oem gas cap will the check engine go away? I reset the ecu once to see how long it would take to turn back on it was about 130ish miles. So please help if you can thanks in advance.

So Can I just replace the sensor to fix it? Because I noticed the cel will come on after awhile it goes off, so im thinking the sensor is going out or maybe the wiring. Anybody have any experience with this?
