well since buddy club coilovers have been back ordered forever i cancelled my order for them and was looking into pic coilovers for my integra...the selects are to expensive and the apex seem to be more in my budget...i was thinkin about getting the 10k/8k ones and had a few questions...i heard people sayin they ride good but stiff...since i like to ride pretty low i was wondering anyone have experience with them like bottoming out with these springs rates/ comfort/ or even shock blowing out?
if you have an ITR i'm sure plenty of folks in the ITR forum have tried the Apex.
most people like pic coilovers, as it's just fine for what most people are doing (street driving)

I really don't have the money for the selects ...the gc/ konis are a lil expensive too especially with the extended top hats...my shocks are blown right now and the ride is horrible so I'm just trying to buy what I can with what I got

i have the 10k/8k apex.
they ride and handle great. if you have alot of bad pot holes or rough roads the are harsh. but if you live in a nice area with smooth roads you will really like them.
also if you live in area where is snows during the winter months you may want to look at coilovers that don't rot out and seize up. my pic's look like *** and are pretty much seized up after 2.5 years because of that. this is the only complaint i have with PIC coils. their advertised "anti-corrosion" coating is not very good.

I've heard of people swapping out their springs if they're rusting. That might be something to look into.
I'm riding on Select 10k/8k and am reasonably low without any fears of bottoming out or the UCA hitting the shock tower. This is my daily ride height through the mean streets of Chicago:

I was wonderin if anyone can tell me how low Apex's go compared to FnF Type 1's? I'm ridin on Type 1's right now, they go low and ride great, but i'm always looking to upgrade, and i've heard nothing but great things about PIC. I would like to tuck a little bit of tire, can I do this with the Apex's?

My fronts rusted earlier than the rears so it was two times, the rears they even helped me install them...
No rust since.
PIC is located in the chicago burbs, they know all about salt on the roads.

you sound pleased with what you have. what do you want to upgrade? rate? compression? rebound?
I am reviving this as I have a few questions on the matter. I am in a similar situation. Are the Koni/gc better than the pic apex? I won't be slammed but I will be a little lower than stock. I daily drive my Type R, and am trying to do occasional track days. What rate would be ideal for me? I live in Tn so we have a little winter but not too bad so I am not really worried about the salt. I also hose down the car after I drive through the salt.
PIC did get a few sets through that the anti-corrosion coating wasn't up to par, my set started rusting, I contacted them, they met me at a shop (they are local) and swaped out the shockes free of charge.
