Default Replacing battery cables

So the other day I got in my car turned the ignition to on and all i heard was click.... tried it 3 times and it just clicked. Windows still rolled down, radio was on, and the battery is only 2 years old. Jumped the car and it started fine so I drove home. I checked the batter cables and they were pretty corroded. I used the brush tool to clean the terminals and the inside of both the positive and negative cables.

I called Acura and they quoted $33 bucks for the negative cable and $81 for the positive cable.... to me it looks like the positive cable connects to both the fuse box and starter.

Is there a less expensive alternative? Plus these items are special order so I would have to wait anyway.

Thanks in advance!

BTW I checked eBay and the cables on there look worse off than mine.

Go to O'Reilly Auto parts. They sell replacement cables, but if you cannot find one that works then just get replacement battery clamps. They are $5 a pice, and should do the trick.

You can make your own with some stereo wire and connectors. I have some extra from when I did mine if you are interested. Blue wire.

Autozone looked up the parts and they gave me 2 wires which didn't fit, fit the fuse box area that is. Thanks for the suggestions guys, RedGSR I'll keep you in mind. I cleaned the terminals and the cables with the wire brush. Seems to be ok now but I'll keep you in mind. I really wanted OEM but damn it's pretty expensive especially for the positive side which also connects to the starter.

forgot mention it has the part of the starter too.

mine it's OEM just the connector is aftermarket, do you want a picture? let me know.
