place racing mounts

Default place racing mounts

do the place racing mounts set the engine really low? im having a problem with the crank pulley rubbing against my front cross member strut rods. my car is pretty low too.

I had place racing mounts on my bseries swapped hatch, and I also had this problem.

It's rather common on most mounts not just places, notch the member, smash it or get a different x member.

im running an innovative mount front x member. i have hydro hasport b series mounts. and by looking at it itd still hit proly even with the hasports if i still had the oem x member on there. notch it x2

I used to have them, they suck. Motor placement is too far forward.
You need the CTR N1 single belt crank pully to avoid interference with the radius rod.

i might try using my n1 pulley, or i might just pull out my motor and throw my hasport mounts on.

i have the hasport mounts along with the n1 pulley...made things alot easier and no clearance issues

Try the B16 pulley. Been on my B20V and b16 and have never had a problem with rubbing. But I'm using Innovative Steel Mounts

I did not have that problem with Place Racing mounts but I got them used back in 2001. I switched over to Hasport once they got the hydro tranny conversion though.
