Foam in catch tank?!?!

Default Foam in catch tank?!?!

I understand what the foam is I'm just not sure as too why I'm getting it. It's not under my oil cap and car dosent smoke that much. Is my head gasket gone?

your going to get foam, its condensation building up in the tank and mixing with the oil, makes for a messy mixture and thats why drainback catchcan are such a bad idea. imagine all that going back into your motor

sweaty beer can effect, but in reverse.

the reason u see nothing in the engine is because that gets warm enough to evaporate the condensation.

hot oil, + moisture in air, once the can cools down, moisture comes out of the air and clings to the oil. as it airrates from use, the water oil mix turns to a froth.

yup./

never had an issue with a recirculating can.
i will never not run a drain back can.

have the same problem in the winter and when ever I run E85 for a long period of time, T1 can. it usually clear it self up after a long drive.

Are you guys getting that much oil in your cans that you need drain back? I get hardley anything in my can maybe 1/8th of a quart in between oil changes

It depends on if they are running baffles or reused the stock baffles and where they tapped the valve cover.

Very true I have two off the front of my vc works good. I am thinking of upping them from-10 to -16 for better flow without using more lines
