hey how do u check if a tire still has enough tread on it ?? Something about taking a penney or dime and seeing if the tread is above the head ?/

 

Use a penny, put it so Abe's head is in towards the tire. If Abes head is above the tread, then you need new tires.

 

i think you put a penny upside down. or head first. and see if you can see his head..if you cant your ok. if you see lincolns head your not in good shape.. i am not 100 percent on that though

most people do the penny method, but just use your own judgement. the less tread the shorter the time you will have these tires.

 

On the inside groove of the tire(center) there are pieces that run across the center. Those are there to judge the tire wear. Turn your wheel so you can see the center of the tire and look along the center of the groove until you find that. When your tire is worn even with that, you are at the legal limit of tire wear and must replace them.
