ya it's just above the filter housing if your motor has the oil cooler you will have to get an extension and if you want to keep the idiot light a T fitting the 1/4 pipe thread i think a really cheap hose to use is a grease gun hose they have the same thread and a very flexable and rated for high psi i used one for 2 years with no problems

so i would put the t fitting onto the motor... then on one outlet the dummy light would screw in and then on the 2nd outlet the sender from the guage would screw in?

Don't do it that way, that will put a lot of weight on that Oil Sending port and the T fitting could snap off in your block. Get the correct T(IIRC its a 1/8NPT)and then get some SS braided hose. Screw your factory oil sending unit into the T fitting, screw the SS hose into another side and mount the gauge sending unit somewhere on the firewall, etc. So the hose runs from the T fitting to the sending unit. This keeps excess weight off the sending port in your block.

What are you bumping for? You could have bought one and installed it by now.

Glowshift is cheap garbage IMO. Check the better builds on H-T. Do you see any of them rocking Glowshift gauges? I'd rock a cheap Sunpro before one of these.
