my car wont start after the swap
hey ppl im still noob when it comes with cars thou..... but hey i got a 95 civic vx with a bad motord15z1 , and i just purchased a d16z6 and i did the swap today with one of my friends but after we plug everything back together the car wont star not even crank, and just the radiator fan starts when i try to start the car and i did use the same wire harness from the z6 but i dont know if i have to use the same harness from the vx or the one on the z6, because on the left tower there is a plug socket that is missing and i dont know what it is since both are vtec, i just want to know if somebody have done this swap before can please help with some info
If the car isn't "cranking" you need to re-check your grounds, starter signal wire, clutch switch etc.
When the key is turned on, the fuel pump should prime, the check engine light should turn on and off as well.

thanks man i did do all of that and i had to replaced the harness of the z6 for the z1and the car did start but i have a check engine light one because the O2 but i dont know how to rewire that so thats the only issue
do you hear the fuel pump when you turn the key? Do you know how starters work? If so, provide a 12v constant to the starter wire to turn the car over and see if that works. If it doesn't, then your starter is bad.
