Default welding oil return bung on aluminum oil pan

Hey guys, I'm just finishing up the turbo install on my Prelude and need to get the oil return bung welded onto my pan, which is aluminum. I have the bung (-10AN "weld on" bung) and my friend said he could do it for me. I'm just worried about warping the oil pan flange since aluminum conducts heat so well and it would be welded on very close to the flange. Should I even be worried about this? Thanks

Not that big of a deal, we've done it more then a few times and never had an issue where we had to sand the pan flat. Go for it.
