Default Hard Line Sizes (fuel and brake)?

I've tried searching... nothing.

Anyways, I need all new hard lines for my 92 hatch vx. What size tubing and fittings do I need to buy for brakes and fuel? I assume that they're metric sizes (confirm?)? I've searched around and I hear that it's hard to get metric size tubing/lines. So people run SAE sizes, yes? But if everybody is running SAE lines, don't you have to use SAE fittings? But SAE won't fit on our cars, no?

Could somebody be generous enough to give me a shopping list of what I need? That would be deeply appreciated. All I know is that the fuel feed line is the largest followed by the fuel return and vent. Brake lines are a step smaller than those after.

This will be my first attempt at making hard lines. I'm going to buy all my tools and material from Eastwood. Just need to confirm that I can use SAE fittings and lines.

Thanks.

Tools I'm going to buy.

I know that Summit racing or Jegs has the hard line a lot cheaper then eastwood, you want the stainless line if possible, they carry it in a bunch of different sizes, you DO NOT want aluminum brake or fuel line in a street car, stick to coated or stainless steel, as far as sizes, I would say 3/16 on the brake, and on the fuel, it really depends on what horsepower you will be running. I'm not sure on the adapters I know areoquip makes an adapter to convert the metric fittings on most Honda brakes, to standard threads, you are talking about four adapters on the brakes, then a bunch more on the proportioning valve, and even more on the master cylinder, thats a lot of adapters and a lot of potential leak points, I'm not sure about going to metric directly, On my car I'm running all AN from the fuel pump hanger,to the engine, so it doesn't really apply to me, I would like to know where to get the metric flares and flaring tool to do the metrics. anyone?

now here's the metric bubble flare tool, this will make the actual flares, I guess you could reuse your threaded pieces, i wonder where you get them? this is a little bit pricey tool, but you get what you pay for. This is an SK, it will probably last the rest of your life http://www.google.com/products/catal...d=0CCIQ8gIwAQ#

i'm actually going to buy this tool. it's super pricey compared to the others but i'm a really big fan of simplicity and will pay for it.
