I would like to see the construction of these if anyone has made them.
Considering it requires a hydraulic pipe expander that's otherwise useless, I doubt it. What else is there to see beyond tech specs of the clearances? They seem to just bolt up tight, and the main seal is from thermal expansion along the full O.D., as the inner tube sees more heat.
I use single slip connections on exhausts sometimes. They are much lighter and cheaper than V bands and have better clearance. When I weld on mufflers on show cars I usually cut off the expanded inlet and outlet and save them. I just butt two perfectly square ends and weld the expanded part with about a 1/2" of overlap on one side, cut 4 tabs and bolt it together. It doesn't have any flex but is seals pretty nice if you on a budget. That said, I go through a lot of vbands hah

From the begining the collector and the header have to be made to be a double slip fit. The distance between the slips of the collector have to be larger to allow for the second slip to fit in between. The double slip has to be welded onto the header pipes before the header is welded onto the flange.
