Skunk 2 sport shock + coil sleves
i was thinking about getting this setup because my shocks are blown and im on stock springs anyway. i would like to know if anyone is using this kit and if it is worth the money or should i get something else. i really dont want to spend too much more than this on my 4dr but i want to be low with decent ride quality i searched a bit in this forum but only people with full coilovers. i would like to see some pics of a 4dr with these on the lowest setting and one on the average setting
I have had this setup on both my crx and civic wagon.. I will say one thing.
Its a stiff ride. lol
I daily my wagon and drove my crx for a loooong while with the s2 sport shock/s2 sleeve setup. Killer part is the spring rates (8k-6k or 8k-10k). Doesnt make for that comfy of a ride but definatly performs well!

nice thanks for the response and is it stiff as in unbearable stiff or just slightly uncomfortable i would only be using these to drive around town since this is going on my daily driver
I wouldnt say its unbearable cause after all.. i do daily my wagon with this setup. Just uncomfortable. My wife hates it.... MUUUAHAHAHAHAHA
haha hmm i wonder if i didnt like the spring rates could i get some custom springs from ground control and run them with the sk2 shocks and coil sleeves
had mine for about a year on my dd, and i love'm. their stiff but not unbearable, doesn't bother me at all and my girl doesn't seem to mind either.
i say do it

Go for it man...Stiff is the ****, even unbearably stiff is the **** hell If I could get springs that don't Flex at all i'd rock em. We get these springs to perform and stiff springs will do just that so...F' it...go for it!
My friend had this exact combination on an EG hatchback that he daily drove and constantly complained about the stiffness/harshness of the ride. He switched to regular Tokico blues w/Ground Controls and was much happier.
It's kinda of tough to gauge what is too stiff or not since it is totally subjective.

i wouldn't use the tokikos with those springs. They are ment as OEM replacements.
They pair well with Tein S-Techs because those are relatively soft, but the skunk rates are from 350-540lb/in springs for 6-10kg/mm...using Tokikos would do nothing.
The Skunk2 sport shocks/coilovers are a great buy especially if you can pick them up cheep. (i got my 8/6K sleeves for $100 during their garage sale.) They are men't to go together. For people on a budget who have-to/want to upgrade in stages.
That, plus a set of replica extended tophats, and I've got a ride that is quite frankly, beautiful.
and cost me $480 all and all for all 4 wheels.

everyone whos ridden in my car with them loves the ride quality. Over normal roads and freeways the ride feels as smooth as factory, with an obvious stiff sporty edge. But the springs/shocks have the bite to dig into turns when you want them to.
I've used them on street, canyons, and track and the performance is there and is fantastic.
the 8/6k rate is perfect mix for DD with weekend aggressive driving.
