Default fuel pump relay wiring question...

im about to wire up my relays for my intank walbro and inline bosch and was wondering if it made a difference where i placed the relays. from what i've seen, a lot of people are putting them close to the pumps. would it be a bad idea to mount them under my dash and just run the positive wires all the way back to the pumps? assuming its 10 or 12 gauge wire....

As long as you run a thick enough wire for the amp drop, you will not have a problem, 10 gauge is enough for either pump.

either way will be fine. Use 10ga for all the power wires and ground
