I built a poormans r with oem CTR pistons and B16 head with Pro1 cams and springs/retainers. What I'm wondering is if when In vtec will the valves hit the pistons? The head has been milled .020

Mods are:
GSR block
acl race bearings
oem ctr pistons and rings


B16 head milled .025
skunk2 pro1 cams
skunk2 pro series valve springs and retainers
mild port and polish

oem replacement headgasket

 

To be absolutely sure you should check the clearances (PTV,VTV)

i ran the same set up. gsr bottom ctr piston. gsr head pro 1 cams. but my head wasn't milled. ran fine logged over 30 k with no problems

 

Thanks bud thats some great info only problem is I already have the motor assembled and in the car.

So when you hit vtec you still had no problems?

 

over 30k of hard driving never once it left me hanging on the side of the road...
