Default Valuing an unmolested GS-R?

I'm new. Usually found over on the Car Lounge and assorted VW forums. I used to own Integras way back when......

I have to sell my dad's 95 GS-R due to his recent incapacitation, and would like to get some input on valuing the car. Is it going to be a straight up KBB pricing deal? Is it going to go the way of so many VW transactions where unicorn issues drive the price up or down?

Details: 95 GS-R, 149K miles, never modded, driven enthusiastically, and maintained by the book.

personally i feel that a unmolested gsr should go for somewhere along the line of 4,500 to 5k depending on the body and the interior

3-5k is what I would pay for one with that amount of miles.

Depending on the shape of interior/exterior and history of car (clean title etc). 3-5k is a good price range. Now if it was a DB8 all bets would be off I've seen those go for 6k cleanly modded.

Put up some pictures so we can get a better idea... If the engine and transmission are still working fine I could see up to about $5,000.

Wow...toughy.

I have two pristine GSR's, original shells and (Except one was painted Type R White), clean flawless body's and interiors and both motors have less then 80K on them and I have them both listed for no less then 5k.

If the body of ur GSR is in pristine shape, as is the interior, I'd gun for $4000, you could prolly yank a 5 Grand sale on someone who doesn't know any better and that's only because the motor has higher milage, even still, High-Milage on a Honda is never a bad thing (SOme don't even consider 100K high milage on a Honda). Gun for 5K and let urself be talked down no lower then 4500.

Picked up my 95 DB8 with 138K for $1300 with a broken CV axle and body panels not lining up. Full tune-up and a few other minor repairs and she runs like a champ. Granted the guy had no idea what he was selling but....

As for your situation, in awesome condition I would go no higher than $4500. It's a 15 year old car with nearly 150K... while not "high", it's getting there, even for a Honda(Acura)

Thank you!

I'll adjust my price - here's the cardomain page I put up with the pics. Paint is pretty bad, but the interior is spotless. Sorry for the link-through....

oh wow, a 4dr, green on tan. that's honestly the worst of everything for value. if you pull 4k i would consider it a great deal on your part.

Oh just saw that it is a DB8 but green and tan is probably the most common an undesirable color. But it is clean and as stated they are hard to find.

I bet you if you find someone in needing for a GSR and doesn't know **** about cars. He wouldn't care about the colors or anything.

As long as if it's a 4 door GSR, they'll pay up to 5 grand.

But it goes different for people that knows their taste.

I'd personally buy it then get a professional paint job done if I were one of the buyers :D

Like 5 miles under 150K! lol

I did not know about the green, will take that into account. I could not talk my sister out of the sedan when she got it, she liked our 88 5dr so much. I miss that car, stolen with 132K on the odo and stripped to the frame. Heck, *I* loved our 88 5dr. The 91, not so much.

My whole family is big on keeping interiors super-clean. It's a point of pride.

Personally I'd put it up for around $4700 and take $42-4400. That's just me,best of luck.
