Default Potential Scarmmer!!!!!!!! "JOE0522"

I sent $220 to "joe0522" for a set of used SRP 9:1 pistons that were said to be in good shape. He indicated that he had them checked by a machine shop, and that they were given a clean bill of health....... so to speak. I received them yesterday, and immediately saw that there was scoring all over the skirts of all the pistons. I thought that I would just have my machine shop polish that out for me, and use them anyway. They were used, that was to be expected; to a point, with used pistons. Upon going to pick them up today, my machinist told me that the ring lands were expanded on some, and the skirt was collapsed on one of them as well. This is the kind of thing that a good machinist will pick up on right away. My machinist didn't even check the wrist pins for damage, and told me to get my money back. He can usually salvage a fair amount of torn up thing I take to him......"not this time", he said. So in essence, he lied to me about them being checked; not to mention, them being far worse off than the pics/he himself suggested. He texted me like crazy while he was trying to get the money out of me.Now I've texted him three times, To not avail I might add!

I.M. through here:

I will keep this post alive till I get my money back or he is banned! This is why people are so skittish about buying on here, this is my first time doing this. I hope this guy can come through, and not be a real scammer!

Still no response, I made the dispute yesterday, and these posts then as well. He has been on the site since then too, I am getting more and more worried about this whole situation.

Whoa, wait, what? There is no longer any buyer protection for a private transaction? When did this start happening? You sure you got your facts straight? Can you provide a link to this policy on Paypal!? If true, this is not good.

bump where does this guy live?

I dont think you understood what was being said to you, you can clearly file a dispute with this guy.

What you bought was very different from what you actually got

PayPal's Buyer Complaint Policy lets you submit a dispute for an item that is significantly not as described. By doing so, you have the opportunity to resolve your dispute directly with the seller. Visit the PayPal Resolution Center to file a dispute. See eligibility
