Default My tuner removed my resistor box on Precision 880s

So my tuner said he was having a hard time getting the proper fuel with my injectors hooked to an injector box. He ended up removing the resistor box and running them straight. My setup is OBD1 B18 forged. It runs great, made 320hp to the wheels, no hiccups on partial throttle or full boost. However, im concerned having no resistor box is gonna **** some **** up.

1. Why would a resistor box restrict fuel?

2. Whats the worst that can happen?

A resistor box is just going to restrict voltage. Its odd, but there is an issue with your injectors more than likely. At low voltage not enough fuel is supplied. 10 to 12 volts they come alive. Same theory as upping the voltage to a stock fuel pump.

What can happen? The lack of fuel from a injector driver issue. If a problem hasn't arose from the tuning session and you driving the car i doubt it will.

Getting/installing another set of injectors and straightening out your fuel map would fix the problem and take away your worries

I have not personally seen it but not running a resistor box with low impedance injectors can eventually cause an injector driver to fail on your ecu.

I don't see anything wrong with not running a resistor box with the right impedance injectors.the TS didn't mention anything about a low impedance injector use..I bet his tuner knows what he's doing since the car is still running not to mention that an injector driver could burn in 20secs or so from running a resistor-less low impedance injector setup.

Precision 880cc injectors are low impedance which require a resistor box...
Something doesn't sound right.

Those injectors are low impedance and require a resistor box or you will burn out the injector driver. It may not happen in seconds but it will hapen and when it does you will be stuck and in need of a new ECU.

It's like saying I play in the street all the time and never get hit by a car...you may not at first but it will eventually happen and when it does....
