Throw out bearing? and?
#1 Ok, so basically when i start up my car and it sits for about 5 seconds, it begins to make a clicking noise from the the engine bay, it goes away when i put in the clutch for about 5 seconds, then it just comes back but at a quieter level, disengage clutch, it comes back in its noisy glory. would this be a symtom of a throwout bearing?
#2 in gears 1-3, when i speed up, then let off the throttle there is a grinding noise that goes down with the rpm, the lower the gear, the louder the noise. This happens withut the clutch engaged, when i push it in, it goes away.
Was told that the throwout bearing is causing #2, due to the thought that it might be a free acting bearing, or something like that

1. sound like a belt or a driven pump or something like that it will not probably be the throwout bearing because it does not rotate around or spin it just stay and pushing the pressure plate around. Try the flywheel bearing but it should not make that much noise. When you engage clutch I think you are just changing the vibration of the engine or frequency of the vibration. About this problem see if you can recreate it with the hood open and just play around and pin point noise.
2. Try adjusting the engagement of the clutch refer to your manual to figure out play and how much you should be a adjust it or keep on tighten it to it feels good or noise goes away.
I could imagine the throw out bearing could make that noise now that I think about it but try the rest before cracking the trans.
