Alright ive got a 1993 honda civic dx, stock engine with an automatic transmission. The car will randomly shut off while driving, no particular time when it happens. The whole car electrical and all will shut off.

I've read it could be the ignition switch and honda had a recall for these or something? Any other things it could be if not this?

i changed mine on my 99 civic hatch...same crap! ..id hit bumps n my car would die completly....faulty ignition switch.....never happend to me again lol. thats my quess

 

check your battery terminals if ok maybe ignition switch, happened also to my accord.

did you at least check the battery terminals? cause that very well may be the problem, or at least it happened to me
