Ok so I bought a complete turbo d kit for my z6.. But the chipped p28 I got came off a y8.. will it work for my z6 or would I have to get it rechipped for my z6?

Re: chipped p28 turbo help
you wouldnt get it "re-chipped" but rather re-tuned, to get the full potential and have it run like it should you should definitely have it tuned on a dyno... chrome is a good program to use because you dont have to buy any expensive hardware. If you have a little extra cash you can pick up a hondata unit and it will have more tuning options.

^Hondata FTW. (Just because I currently hate crome). Running a pre programmed ecu is like russian roulette, if you have a wideband and test to see the numbers pound by pound in boost you should have no problem. Without a wideband dont use that ecu period unless you have it tuned. (or at leat dont hit boost)

Re: chipped p28 turbo help
"Yea I got an aem wideband....the Ecu is a basemap from pherable tuning"
Then the answer is no. Im glad you have a wideband...but you cant boost with Pherable burnt chips. Basemaps=rich but not for boost. Just get a tune. Save yourself swapping in another motor.
God I love the AEM WB.
