Default G23 issues

hey i searched but couldnt find any topics on this:
i've built a g23, the first day i ran it was perfect, then i noticed some oil leaking from the head gasket (i used the h22a4 head gasket-which is wrong-the oil drains on the gasket are bigger than on the block) so i installed a f23a1 and i can not get it to run if im on the gas its fine but the moment i let off the throttle it dies completely here is a list of what ive done:
h22a4 head
f23a1 block
f23a1 head gasket
vtec is not hooked up yet (have apexi vtec controller to hook up)
mitsubishi eclipse 450cc injectors
removed the low rpm torque throttle plate (middle of manifold)
removed the cruise control
removed all egr components (carbon canister, electronic valves and such)
all vacuum lines off the manifold are blocked
k20 pistons on f23a1 rods
all arp studs (everything is studded)
removed the air box from the fender and all vacuum lines from the mani
no oxygen sensor (have to make the wires longer)
h23 stock ecu
timing is perfect checked it 50 times or more

at this point any help would be wonderful ive exhausted all the options i can think off and a new set of "eyes" on the subject would be a geat help
thanks in advance for all your help

You mentioned all vacuum lines are blocked. Did you also block the fuel pressure regulator? You should hook up the FPR correctly, repair the O2 sensor wires and run a P13 ECU. See what happens.

your biggest problem is that your running that h23 ecu a stock ecu cannot run your setup properly

Youre also running Non-Honda injectors. Are they low or high impedance? Did you bypass the injector resistor?

To make it worse you're not running an O2 sensor so the POS ecu can't even try to fix the fuel that you've messed up.

Fix the ECU/sensors and tune ASAP or go work on POS pushrod V8s where all you have to have is a magneto and a carburator to get a 60 year old design to run.

the guy i got my injectors/manifold/head from had the same set up as i've got and he didn't have any problems. but im gunna mess with the car somemore tonight and see what happens. my next step was to change out the injectors and ecu, then its going to a local tuning shop asap

Don't make the same mistake I made with my H23vtec and run the correct ecu and tune it, I'm still paying for all that, good luck, looks like a nice build so take care of it.

Think about this lets say the stock injectors (235cc) run at 80% on the stock ecu. You put in 450cc Injectors to run at that same load....think about it. you are using an injector that is almost twice the size of the stock ones....which means twice as much fuel too.

quit trying to tinker with the car until you have the correct injectors and ecu!

btw that apexi will not run vtec. you need to have a vtec ecu!

Changed out my injectors last night, back to stock and the car runs like a completely different car. It ran and sounded strong. Finally after a long 8 months, the swap is done.

it seriously will not run vtec. you need a vtec ecu in order to have vtec. the controller only allows you to adjust vtec. if the ecu doesnt tell the vtec solenoid to go then you will never have vtec....unless you white trash it and hook up a switch. but then you will have other problems

Listen to these folks......TUNE IT! There is no stock ecu that will run your motor correctly! You need a chipped p28 or p72 to get your motor tuned. When you tune it you COULD use the 450cc injectors since you dont wanna go over 80% duty cycle on your stock injectors. Just as any build of any sort, you need a tune immediately afterwards or all your hard work is gonna just disappear. If you need more info on the G23 build, try www.cb7tuner.com . There have been a couple guys to pull it off correctly. LoDollar92LX has a G22(used an f22b block) and is pushin 526whp on 18psi and daily drives it on 93 octane.
