Shorter than stock front suspension forks
Hey guys, I was talking to a friend today, and he mentioned that his friend bought shorter front forks for his suspension on his EG, and this allowed him to lower his car slightly more without messing up his spring rate however, my friend knows nothing about cars. So I am wondering if these really do exist. I have searched all over for them and can't find any info or trace of their existance. If anyone knows, I would love some info! Thanks!
i know nothing about this, but i think its funny how people talk about cars and they dont even know. hahaha. too many people like that where i live
Yeah man, and he got my hopes up. My car has about a 3/4" gap in the between the wheels and fenders now, and my front coilovers are lowered to the max. It would be nice to get the flush.
Yeah my car is at a good height where I don't scrape over 90% of speed bumps and driveways, but man I want it to be lower! I feel kinda gyped because when I bought my Omni power coilovers they advised me to get the ones for the EG, and for some reason the front of my car cannot go any lower but the back has like 2 inches more of adjustment before its bottomed out. Here's how she sits ATM.

So have you been using them on your car? The more I read the more people are saying that they break lol. They also recommend slipping the shock down into the stockfork more, but I cannot do this because the body of my coilovers sits on top of the fork when fully seated. My problem is probably that the coilovers I have are actually for EG and are just longer overall than the comparable EF front coilovers.
I have 3 sets of ST drop forks and one of those sets has been daily driven for like the last 8 years. Never had a break or even a crack. That set was originally bought for an EG sedan I had several years ago and now they are on an EF hatchback w/F2 coilovers. You can buy the lower mount on the coilovers to match which ever fork you are using. I also compared the F2 EG coilovers vs the EF version and the height was identical. The only difference was the lower mount. Hope this helps.
I think I remember reading somewhere that those are no longer in production. They do pop up from time to time in the classifieds/ebay/craigslist.
