PM7 is the correct ECU for the DOHC ZC
PG7 is the next closest thing to it (it's meant for the 1.6 DOHC Integra)
PM6 is the fallback ECU, works just fine.

get the USDM 88-89 (not 86-87) Integra PG7 - it will work just as good as the JDM PM7 and doesn't have the speed limiter like the PM7 - both PM7 and PG7 have fuel cut-off at 7500 rpm - the PM6 ECU for the 88-91 CRX/Civic Si/EX with D16A6 engine will work but has fuel cut-off at 7000 rpm
why not buy a chipped ecu with a pm7 mapped burned on it?
if you do use a pg7 you'll notice a slight loss of power between 3k-5k where its excessively rich at wot.

Having trouble with my ZC. I got a PG7 ECU. I have check the rewiring and they seem fine. The light on the ECU flashs 10 times which on the Honda manual means theres a problem with the intake. What i would like to know is if it means the same on the ZC engine or if its different? Also if any one can give me any other ideas on what to check or what can be wrong?
On a dohc? On a sohc yea. But it will run fine on a dual cam zc. For 150 u can get a chipped ecu with a pm7 map From xenocron. So u can have options if u decide to upgrade later instead of buying the stock pm7.
Things in this thread make me laugh. I ran a dohc zc back in the day, and ran the usdm PG7 with no issues!!!! It didn't run funny, rich or lean. You can get one at the junk yard for $15-$20, plug it in and call it a day.
I made sure my car ran well, i had a new dizzy with cap and rotor, and a fresh o2 sensor. I actually got better fuel mileage with the zc over my stock Si engine

Sorry everyone I'm kinda new to this site and I'm still learning on how to post things. Anyways I'm having trouble with my ZC. I got a PG7 ECU. I have check the rewiring and they seem fine as well as the timing belt. The light on the ECU flashes 10 times which in the Honda manual means there's a problem with the Intake air temperature. What i would like to know is if it means the same on the ZC engine and if it is what to check or how to fix this or if its different what to do? Also if any one can give me any other ideas on what to check or what can be wrong? Thanks for any HELP!!!!
