i hv some new falken ziex ZE tires on my ls mech & i was doing some research on the width of the tires & how much it can stretch which was between 5.5-7 inches reconmended! but im planning on slapping some axis oldskool rims on it but the width on the axis's are 8 inches! is still safe to stretch the tires???? i need some opinion on this?????

im running stretched tires with no problem. i got falken ziex ze-512 and the size is 205-40-16 on a set of 16x8 wheels. the falken ze-512 are good tires to use if you want to get stretched IMO.

the 205/40/16 ziex ze-512 is approved for 7-8" wide wheels so techincally no you arent using "stretched" tires.

OP, the 195/50/15 is approved for 5.5-7" wheel widths so stay within that range

no. not safe. there is a reason a lot of tire shops will not install stretched tires.

 

yeah but the rims only comes in 15x8 so are thee others ties made for that fitment

 

No stretching tires is not safe, PERIOD.

 

Even if the tires don't rip apart like most other stretched tires do, you'll still look like a tool.
