97 ls "b*tch pin" part number?
I've always wondered it there was some way to just substitute it for a nut & bolt, but i'm usually thinking that as i'm trying to get it off...

It's really not that hard to get out at all. I use a punch and a hammer. Comes right out with no problems every time. You can also buy the pin at a hardware store. It's just a compression pin.

I use a 1/4" short extension, and slip a deep socket over the bottom of it, one that is just wide enough to fit but not have any play. Then use the 4lb... works like a mini impact tool, and transfers the energy pretty good. comes right out.
A lot of people don't know this, but you can take the spare tire bolt out.. it kinda has a cone shaped end on it.. Use a 4lb hammer and I usually hit it 3-4 times and it's out. A lot of people have little qwerks and special things they use for certain things.. That's one of mine because it works perfect.

I mean .. you have four of them, might as well make use of one anyways lol.
