Anybody know any for tweaks for ls b18b1
im wondering if theres sum one out there that knows any tweaking i could do to my teg without spending any money or even sum tweaks that are cheap money wise...thx
with this budget IDK. all tweaks cost money to do. how bout a tune up? thats maybe more than the budget you posted already though. how about posting us a budget to base our recommendations off of....
What he said. B18b mods are a waste unless your talking about going turbo, at least in my opinion. I never really felt any power gain in my butt dyno with na b18b. But, the common mods are intake, header, exhaust, tune. Will run about a grand more or less depending on how thrifty you are. Horsepower gains will probably be between 6-10 wheel horsepower.
yeah i got 4-2-1 dc headers, under drive pully, full exhaust, 2 'in progress lowering springs, tens-r short shifter, intake, and msd2 blaster coil with 10mm plug wires. all the support bars top and bottom. im thinking maby tuning the ecu or getting one from a crv..i duno...and i was thinking a bigger fuel pump to push more fuel....i dunno. tell me what ya think.....oh yeah and to that first comment..my car will mash on damn near any pustage gt....not completly a bone stock gsr but i can take them too......mazda speed 3"s mash on them to...so u really think that a b18b1 is a waste of time? no dissrespect but ya wrong buddy...oh yeah and all the internals are bone stock...

i have energy suspension bushings with sway bars from summit also. i just replace the struts with new ones from autozone when i'm bored. i dont drive it much so theyre still good. plus theyre lifetime warranty so its fine for me LOL.
about changing the ecu, IDK. i'd leave it alone if it were me. but if i wanted real NA power i'd use a hondata unit or something like that. i've done these before with awsome results. but doing it right costs about $4000.00. without the fuel pump or the injectors, or the fuel pressure regulator, or the fuel rail. maybe 5500 bucks max with the fuel management system and ecu and harness.

lol..yeah theres no way in hell id beat ur stang..maybe off the line thru 1st gear its got am awesome launch....hey dont get me wrong about the pustag thing...im actually a big fan of em..lol...the ones i raced had exhaust intake and one had underdrive pullys..and still burned em..and that was with a worn out clutch. i just put in a stage 2 racing clutch.....just now gotten broken in.....he told me he was pushin around 280-300 hp(the stang)..i dunno u know how people r...but i did see under his hood.....im guessing my teg is pushin between 180-195 maybe, prolly not at the wheels tho.it started out with only 145hp, im workin gettin pass the 200 mark..but thats not bad for not having any internals i guess......yeah with that racing clutch and just stock axles from auto zone...lol.....i thing i got the warrenty....but its causing the car to have alot of torqe vibtation...need to get that fixxed b4 i snap one...ive just been babying it for now.

my 82 gets off the line real cool but i gotta launch in 2nd. the 200-shot isnt too good with the first gear on my T-5 trans. the center force clutch is killer diller though LOL its cool on all motor too. lots of torque.

i hear yea bro the bottle is lots of of fun.....im reallying wanting to stay all motor...but the cars their puttin out these days, imma have to do sumin to keep up......ive heard ls/vtec can be more trouple then its worth.....if i went nitrious i would have to rebuild my motor first or for a tubro....im just not sure what way to go...theres just sumin about an all motor beast that turns my worm...lol......id like to sleeve the block better pistons and rods port and polish the head and sum good rockerarms and valvue springs maybe new cams to get it to rebline higher, after turnin the ecu......and i want to get my hands on a 2gen Si tranny.....yeah ive 3 type r lips and the damn things keep gettin cracked or ripped off..the cars about 2-2 an a half inches off the ground...i just posted sum pics imma take sum under the hoods here in a minute.
yeah i would go all motor of go turbo on your build. all motor can be done really well on about a 5500 dollar budget for your engine. sleeved and all that using je pistons. about the same cost for the turbo build but add the turbo cost. it would be cheaper if you didnt sleeve it or use je pistons but i prefer je pisons so thats what i would do. and i like sleeves too LOL
If I were you, I would have gotten the Stage 17 Super Racing Clutch. Then find a Koenigsegg or Bugatti and race for Slips. You could become a very rich man, especially considering that you already mash on all of those cars you listed above with only a stage 2 clutch.
