Default complete lock set?

hello all

it seems the previous owner took the car to maaco and their awesome masking skills means they got paint in the locks
and the door lock ke is different from the ignition key

on the vw side of things, there are complete lock sets you can order.
comes with a couple keys for the locks. and all the lock cylinders for the car, so you can rekey it yourself.
is there a set similar for my 94 civic eg?
or will i have to piece it all together myself from a honda dealer?

thanks!

AFAIK the door lock is always diff than the ignition key. Anyway I remember reading something about a set in the parts diagrams, I just ordered two door locks and had them rekeyed. 2 door or 4 door?

no. i dont think so. why would they sell a car with a two keys? one for the door and one for the ignition...

i suppose i could just order all three lock cylinders and the ignition and have them all keyed (i want them different from what they are now. guy i bought it from seems shady. dont want him rolling up and driving off with it

(its a 2door hatch by the way)

hmm...Ok I don't know for sure since I changed my locks anyway, but my friend has an all stock integra, who has a key for ignition and a key for the door, integras may be different though.

Edit:check out this page, IDK what the "kit" is but call the dealer and talk to them, I ordered two cylinders for my hatch and both came with two different sets of keys, which was fine since I was getting them keyed to match a different lock anyway. http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/...Y+CYLINDER+KIT

From the factory they all come with 1 key for the doors and the ignition. If you go to the OEM Honda parts sites they will sell you a set of door lock cylinders. I know they also sell the ignition switch, but I am not sure if they sell a separate key cylinder for the ignition. I don't even know if the key cylinder can be removed from the ignition switch.

Anyway, I am not sure how you would get the same key to work for both the doors and the ignition. You might have to take it to a dealer, or you might want to try calling the OEM Honda parts places, since they are all actually dealerships themselves. The OEM ignition switch is really expensive if I remember. The door cylinders are not too bad.

I would just keep an eye on craigslist. It will probably save you a little cash

hmmm interesting
my buddy works at honda. i'll see what he can do for me.
worst comes to worst i will just keep the ignition the same and rekey the doors/hatch with new jawns so it matches. not ideal, but im not sure how i'd get a new key+ignition i thought ignitions were set to keys. unless they just have a kay code they can cut for me. and match everything to that

good idea drmix i'll look for a partout

I think I was wrong. I think this Honda part number will get you a complete set of new locks (with keys I think).

35010-SR3-A01

I think it includes new key cylinders for the doors and a new ignition switch. All the locks (I think) will use the same key.

Hey I am curious to know what was included in that 35010-SR3-A01 part.

So if you end up buying it, please post what was actually included. Thanks!
