I am 98% positive that the bulbs behind the dash are still 194 (like behind the gauge cluster). I beleave there are two of them, but it wouldn't hurt to get afew extra just in case.

you are 98 percent wrong.....bulbs in the gauge cluster you are right are 194...the climate controll bulbs are way smaller. I tried it beofre but its alot of work getting the controlls out.

BTW you can prolly get the bulbs at the dealer and get the ITR version bulbs...might be a little expensive..but hey those amber bulbs are harder that Sh*t to find....

There are 3 194 bulbs behind cluster

Climate control bulbs might be able to be switched out but you still have the blue tinted film behind the controls. Just get an ITR control panel...I did it and it is awesome

the ITR bulbs from a dealer are clear. its the amber film behind the clock and climate control. its not worth it, you are wasting your time. the only bulbs that are worth changing is the dash bulbs. theres three of them and they are the size 194.

Yeah, there's three 194 bulbs behind the gauges... It seems to be difficult to find colored 194 bulbs that aren't garbage. Amber is probably the only color that's not going to give you problems, because it's a common bulb color and it's often used for turn signals. The rest of the colors seem to be done half assed. I never had problems with colored 1157's, but the 194's are a completely different story.

I used to have some yellow 194 bulbs in my front turn signals, but they faded after a month. I also used to have some APC blue 194 bulbs behind my gauges but they faded really fast. That's what I get for buying APC crap. I just replaced them with some generic non-APC blue bulbs and already one has turned purple on me. I had to buy 4, so I used the extra to replace the purple bulb; it's a nice even blue for now. But somehow I won't be surprised if they give me more problems, in which case I'm going either to amber or back to stock.

Beware of cheap colored bulbs, they will fade very quickly. The APC bulbs are probably the worst.

just get the imported color glass bulbs...the color won't fade at all, since the color is part of the bulb...
but a bit expensive, well worth the price tho...

why not rip out the stock climate control bulbs, and wire some bright LEDs??
now that would be hot!!

I think that if you just take the bulb condoms off (little caps on the bulbs) they will look amber. You dont need new bulbs. HTH

Buy polarg bulbs. When I had my prelude I had them in my front turn signals and they lasted me like 1.5 years and never faded on me. Very good jap. quality and color. They say "BI HYBRID" across the top and "POLARG" on the left or right bottom corner.

yea polarg are the best. PIAA is good too. i got 2 super white polargs behind my guage and they are brighter and whiter than the stock ones. i still need to replace one of the stock 194 bcuz they came in pairs and i didnt want to have an extra bulb lying around. as for the climate control lights, don't u need resistors in order to use LEDs to prevent them from frying?
