Default NO SPARK HELP ASAP!!!

ok so i got the motor in the car, all the sensors are hooked up, the only problem i ran into is i bought an OBD1 distributor and the harness didnt match up with the obd2 harness. Ive already tried researching it, i tried everything i could find, checked all my fuses, although i cant find the fuse for the ECU. the car is a 97 civic dx, the motor is a 95 d16z6.

i used this diagram

according to the diagram there should be a green wire on both the harness and the distributor. THERE IS NO GREEN WIRE ON THE DISTRIBUTOR. now im beginning to think this whole diagram is f***ed up and none of the wires that are said in the diagram to match up are supposed to... and im getting extremely frustrated because there is no spark

what else can i check? what else would cause no spark?????

Is that an OEM Honda distributor that you are using?

If nothing is happening when you try to turn the ignition switch, I would troubleshoot that problem first. Because power distribution starts with the ignition key turned to the on position.

If it's not OEM than it's a possibility that the company that made your distributor doesn't follow the OEM wire colors. If the starter isn't spinning/turning when you turn the key, you might want to double check the wiring going to it for a possible break. If that seems ok then try testing the ignition switch itself.

What ECU are you using by the way? And if possible can you snap a pic of the distributor plugs that came with your new distributor?
