2000 Integra fuel pump wont engage
Earlier this week I had to drop the transmission to replace a shift fork and finally had the car out last night. It had done some raining but as it started to dry I figured it was safe to make a trip. I was riding around town and the car was running great, but I noticed the EGT wasn't reading and as I had been in boost a couple times I decided I better check and see what was the problem. I found the Thermocouple wasn't plugged in so in fixing this problem I ran into another one. I got back in the car to start it and when i turned the key over I noticed I couldnt hear the fuel pump's usual whining. I turned the car over but it wouldn't start. Checked fuses but none had any problems. The previous owner installed a fuel kill switch just below the handle that pops the fuel latch. I'm thinking there is a break in the wires somewhere between the fuel pump and the kill switch but I'm not sure.
Well I have done voltage checks and I get power to the first harness, but the second harness that is tied in with the cut-off switch doesn't get fire. I'm hoping that if I delete the cut-off switch and run a hot wire back to the relay it fixes the problem.
