swapping intake manifolds from auto to standard transmission
I Swapped my engine from an auto tranny into my car which is standard. I was looking at parts online, and i noticed that the Fast idle valve is different for auto and standards.. am i going to notice anything, or do i have a vacuum leak i don't know about? Both engines are/were f22b2's out of 1996's.
ahh i forgot to mention, i hydrolocked the engine.. and it sat all winter with water in both the intake and engine.. i blew a hole in the block. I looked at the throttle body before i swapped and it was a little rusty so i figured i'd just use the clean one from my auto. i didn't realize there were different parts on them.
alright if you want to get technical, there is corrosion on it. there is enough crap in it that i'd have to take it fully apart and clean it. I am going to swap valves this weekend since i get a random bouncing idle.
