Default Idle won't stay on, engine shuts off

HEY H-T!

Need some advice, I bought an EG with a integra block with a CR-V head, idle will not stay on, blue smoke, chipped out ECU, supposedly CROME. I'd like some advice pertaining to the idle problem. Where should I start to look? Idle control valve? ECU? I would totally appreciate any advice towards this solution.

picture of the EG as it sits...for now, got the front end ready for restoration.

I would def. Start with a stock ecu just to make sure that isn't the problem... then make sure your icv is even plugged in... and double check your tps amd map sensor plugs.... then go from there.. also check and make sure your map sensor. Passage is clear.. a lot of people silicone the throttle body on and it plugs the passage.. I've seen it plenty of times... also check plug wire order...

Swapped for a "virgin" ecu, started up but still will not stay on unless I was on the gas...there's got to be a leak somewhere...throttle body gasket didn't look too hot seems like there's a minor gap...I'll check on the other aforementioned items in question, thanks Hello Bart and b20hatchek! Now, when do u guys want to come over and mess with the engine with me? I'm having a BBQ tomorrow, homemade BBQ sauce, pork ribs chicken quarters and lots of beer to boot...damn I want to skip that and check things out with it, but it can wait. It's my project, thankfully, and not my daily. Thanks again!

you know the little screw valve on the tb, it looks like a flat head, start the motor and turn the valve untill the idle stays at 800 rpm's, lots and lots of ppl miss that, so you dont have to fine tune anything else

I wish I could come over a mess with it for some bbq and beer but got the kids and I'm a lil too far from you.. and its def. A lot easier to diagnose in front of me... there is also a lil allen screw that keeps the butterfly on the tb open a certain amout that I have seen come out... its under the lil wheel where the throttle cable connects just one more thing to double check.... oh and def. Wnna check that possible leak
