Default JRSC on 97 prelude type sh

Hey guys, I bought a Jackson Racing Supercharger off ebay and i believe the kit is for a non sh model. Jackson Racing makes two different models 989-655 and 989-650. i have a h22a type s motor in my car now and have cruise, p/s, and a/c. I have called tech support at jackson racing and the guy who i talked to couldnt tell me the difference between the two kits. All he mentioned was the type sh has a different fuel pump. So this doesnt really help me. Every part of the supercharger bolts to the block or manifold so why would it matter what chassi you have. The guy on the phone was looking at mechanically drawings and either a, cannot read them or b, just really doesnt know anything about the product. Does anyone know what the difference between these kits are because jackson racing doesnt.

Thanks

If it doesn't have an oil filter relocation kit, then it isn't for an SH. However though, there are numerous aftermarket kits you can get from other brands.

Not really seeing what the purpose of posting a picture of your car was, but okay?

i believe it has to do with fitment issues with the components in the engine bay such as power steering pump or fuel lines getting in the way wit each kit...im such if you google it, you'll find out why

I posted a picture because most people on forums only read the thread if theres a picture and yes i do need help. Anyways, So what your saying to me is the H22a type s motor has a different location oil filter than a base h22 motor? And what would the power steering pump have anything to do with the chassis of the car. Everything on the kit bolts to the block and the power steering pump is the same on every h22 motor. It says in both manauls you do have to move your fuel lines and also move your brake lines. And yes i googled search it and I thought honda-tech would be a good place to know whats the difference.

The type-s motor is exactly the same externally as the normal h22a4 or h22a1. It's the ATTS module in the SH models that gets in the way. The ATTS (active torque transfer system) basically takes the place of the intermediate shaft, so it sits right below the oil filter. The oil filter is NOT in a different location in an SH Prelude, and that is precisely the issue here.

Are you sure you even have ATTS anymore? If your car has a jdm h22a type-s motor, chances are the ATTS unit is no longer there. Did you swap in that motor yourself?

Yes, my prelude does still has atts after the swap. I bought a oil filter relocation kit online last night. Is that the only thing that differs between the two kit and everything on the non sh kit will work now?

Bingo. You're good to go. If you ever decide you don't want the JRSC, let me know.

BTW, you should consider signing up for prelude power.com

Had to use the space between prelude and power because h-t likes to mask other forums. But anyway, it's a GREAT source for Prelude stuff.
