Default A/T to M/T swap questions

I have a 96 ex coupe. I am converting it to a 5spd. I bought an almost complete swap from a friend out of a 97 dx. The only things that im lacking is the ecu and I/M. I have read the write up how to do the swap. But no one answered me clearly. ( Or maybe im just dumb). But can i run the auto ex ecu, wire harness and I/M without runnig into problems? It will be a little while till i can get the manual ecu, W/H and I/M. I am planning on doing the swap tomorrow or sunday. that is if i can do the swap with the auto stuff.

It will run, but there will be a CEL for the automatic transmission, should be perfectly driveable though.

i have been told to convert a auto ecu to manual there is a small tab that needs to be pulled out, but i have never seen this done or tried it myself, so i cant be of anymore help than that. i dont think the auto ecu will start/run the car because it will be looking for you to move from P/N into a drive gear. i may be wrong on that though. i am also thinking you will need to get a auto->manual tranny mount since the placement will be off slightly.

the ecu i know you can convert it to a manual but i have not done it on an obd2 ecu, but it should be driveable the way it is.... just have a check engine light for the trans stuff.... the trans mount you just have to use the 5 spd one, just make sure you hook up the clutch switch or you gonna be wonedering why its not starting... and you can use your stock harness...
