Is OEM oil separator all the same on teg?

Is OEM oil separator all the same on teg?
I have a 96 gsr and I was wondering if I could swap an oil separator (black box behind the block) from an ls ? Are they all the same?

I though they stopped using them after 1995... I don't see how they could really change them. My 1996 ls special edition doesn't have one. I know the 95 ls that I worked on did and I had 2 of the boxes at one point and they were the same.
