Default B18B stalling and running terrible

Hello Everyone,

I have searched and can't seem to find what I am looking for so I am just going to post, so I am sorry if this is a common subject.

I have a 1996 Civic hatch that I swapped a 1994 Integra B18b into. The Integra Donor car ran fine when I pulled the motor. I swapped the B18 into the hatch and it runs horrible. The Hatch has the B18b ecu with a jumper harness to make it OBD1, I put a new ObD2 alternator and Distributer on the motor so the ObD2 Civic harness would fit and changed the injectors and re-wire the 3 pin clip to 2.

Now the problems: When I start it up it runs but stumbles and can't keep an idle. Then if I take it out and run it hard it runs good in the high RPM's but not in the low RPM's. When I stop and let it idle when it is hot the car just shuts off like it has automatic shut off.

I have checked voltage at the TPS and MAP sensors and the ECU and everything comes back fine. Tried a different ECU jumper Harness. I am confused is it the OBD2 Distributer on an OBD1 ECU? Wrong injectors? Bad ECU? PLEASE Help ME,

Thank YOu

Any CEL codes?

Is the mechanical and ignition timing set to spec?

Have you checked the ignition timing with a timing gun?

Have you inspected the plugs, cap, and rotor?

We have checked it with a timing gun. Brand New plugs, BRand new cap, rotor and tried another B18B OBD2 distributer

Doesn't seem like a Misfire. The car acts like it is trying to adjust for something. And when it is hot it just shut down like you turned the key OFF but all the ignition and everything is still on just the motor turns off

Anyone? Can I run the OBD2 distributer even though I have it converted to OBD1 and the ECU? Should I be running the OBD1 distributer since I have the car converted to OBD1? Thanks

i think the problem could be with the obd2 parts being ran by a obd1 ecu. i could be wrong but it sounds like it could be your problem. find a obd2 ecu for your car.

Are you running a obd1 or obd2 ecu? Is it USDM or JDM? We need more info. Im pretty sure this is ecu related though.
