ok i have a 1989 hatch DX. I have the DX harness still. Im planning to swap in my LS Vtec in. Im going to have rywire do my harness and he wants me to send him my DX harness which i have and i need to send him my harness for my LS Vtec. But what harness should i send with my DX harness? i have a ex harness from a 1998 ex coupe (thats where im getting the motor) which is OBD2a or do i need to get a OBD1 harness and send that as well?
im just very confused about what i need to send him. I know the DX harness has to go to him but i just am not sure what other harness i need to send him.
thank you

i e-mailed rywire already this is what i got back
All you need to do is put the engine harness from your car (just the engine wiring, no interior wiring) as well as the engine harness that came with the new engine, in a box and send it to the address on our home page.
and this
Also, the harness we need from the new engine we want to have the plugs that match the engine you're installing - so OBD1 plugs, not OBD2 in your case.
We can supply the OBD1 plugs necessary for $40 if you don't have a donor harness to supply.
Thanks ~ Peter
which i dont get the motor i have i had it in my EK coupe. so i have a ex harness that is OBD2.
so i need to send them a harness that is OBD1 then? since im using a P28 and my dizzy is OBD1 as well?

looks like you need to send him your old dx engine harness and the harness that is you want, which is obd1 since u have p28 /obd1 dizzy. you will need to source a obd1 engine harness. or pay him that 40.
you will need to send, at minimum, an obd1 vtec harness from an ex or si civic from 92-95 (or the lx model with vtec). honestly, i would just pay the extra fourty bux and just have rywire supply the plugs to properly convert your harness. that way you can still slap a motor back into your coupe and call it a day.

^ yup..oooor! just pay him the $40 because thy are going to keep your obd1 harness also..so i personally would rather pay $40...
