Some pics of LS/VTEC build
I decided to do this when my stock bottom end ls/v decided to blow a head gasket and strip out 4 of the head stud holes. My friend gave me a bare B18B1 block, and convinced me to do something with it. So I dropped it off at the machine shop for it to be hot tanked, decked, and get a fresh hone:

Cost me $120 for that. I also bought some ACL rod and main bearings for the stock LS crank and rods, and also some ARP rod bolts. All that cost me $150.

My friend also gave me some B16 pistons, p30 I think, but not entirely sure. Got them pressed on the LS rods at the machine shop and picked up brand new piston rings from Honda. My friend who gave me the block and pistons is also a certified tech who works at the Honda dealership, so he hooked me up on the rings. All that cost me $170.

Pic of pistons, crank, ARP headstuds, and STR block gaurd installed. I snagged the block gaurd from the stock bottom end. The head studs cost me $100.

lol

Pic of B16 ('99 Si) all cleaned up ready to install.
We put the engine together at my friends house, and while my car sat in the garage for a month, I decided to do this. It was originally red but decided to paint it tan. I took this after I de-masked it.

Kinda put back together...

My half-assed polished valve cover, lools better in real-life lol.

Motor complete with new OEM Honda seal kit, head gasket, timing belt, and water pump. Timing belt/water pump/head gasket all from local auto parts store, so all that cost about $275ish.
This is a mexican radio stations car, lol. Its called 98.9 Del Sol FM.

I have way more pics on my digital camera, just haven't uploaded them yet. Along with what was mentioned above I also got an Exedy stage one clutch and lightweight flywheel, and AEM tru-time cam gears. Transmission I'm using is a cable GSR. The car is currently running on a phearable.net chipped ecu with launch control, shift light at 8100, redline at 8500, and vtec engaging at 5000. I took it to the 1/8 mile dragstrip the other night and ran a 9.6 at 75 mph. I'll update later on with more recent pics, just wanted to post some cool pics for people to look at. BTW here is my friends brand new Honda Fury

This is how it looked before any of this happened.
Thanks for looking! Sorry for huge/small pics

Looking good so far. Post up some pics when you drop it in. BTW, that ground wire you have attached to your valve cover isn't grounding anything.
