Default LS Vtec Rod and Pistion Question

If i run a ls block, crank and rod, can i put a jdm b16 pistion on it with a b16 head? i know the ls rod is a lil longer, which then makes the LS piston shorter. i was just wounder if ther would be a problem if i did run a b16 pistion on a ls rod and crank?

Default Re: LS Vtec Rod and Pistion Question (MessGSR)

The LS block has a higher deck height. B16 pistons fit LS rods with out any modification. Type R pistons need the small end of the rod to be shaved to fit the pistons.
