i have the chance to trade someone my spoon n1 axle back for an RSR exmag axle back+100$ only problem is that its for an eg, which i was just gonna get the piping redone, no biggy, but the piping may be 2 1/4" (he's verifying) and mine's 2 1/2". so i just figured id get the shop to expand the piping, but then realized that may not work if its on the muffler. so is it worth the trade?

 

you know you cant 'expand' 7~8ft of pipe right?
my advice if your worried about size keep the 2.5 exhaust, besides you realize that going from Spoon to an Ebay RSR kit is a huge downgrade right?

 

its just the muffler, im keeping the spoon bpipe, and this isnt like a ebay replica or something, its a real RS*R exmag, ive always wanted this exhaust but its so hard to fine because its dicontinued. but i would need the piping on the muffler redone anyway because its for an eg, so id have to cut a good bit off and get a shop to put the right angles in it, so there would only be like 4-6" of expanded pipe

 

no offense, but why did you ask our advice if you know what your going to do already?

also maybe a better bet than a used muffler that your not sure about size...

well number one, i was asking if the loss of a 1/4" is going to make a big difference, and also if it would even make sense to expand it. also, if i could buy it straight from there i would but i dont think you can get it from there anymore, because there's no way to actually purchase it, unless im missing something.

IMO it would be pretty dumb to trade a spoon n1 axleback that's already on your car for an exhaust+$100 that's going to cost $100 to make fit.

 

i have friends at the exhaust shop, they said to slip em 20$ and they'd do it. and ive recently decided that i really want to start doing everything i can to make my car what ive always wanted it to be, i have no plans on getting rid of it, so i wanna make it basically my dream integra, and this exhaust is the one ive always wanted, so i think its a small price to pay.

 

You made your mind up, have you heard other integra's with an RSR exhaust on it? The 2.5 inch down to 2.25 will change the exhaust sound too, you need to put that into consideration.

 

i havent made up my mind, i just have it set in place in case i DO do it. if its not a good idea then i wont do it, which everyone seems to be saying its not a good idea.
