Default 81.25mm piston/rings need some help b18b1

ok so im doing a lsvtec setup, i bought this block that has 81.25mm bore machined etc with itr oem replica 81.25mm pistons pressed on ls rods with arp rod bolts. but im having some issues/?'s regarding the piston rings. what would happen if i use the 81mm piston rings on the 81.25mm pistons? i have a extra set of 81mm rings. just curious i put them on etc the gap for some weird reson avg's out to somewhat within specs its not that big of difference. so my final ? is if i use the 81mm rings on the 81.25 piastons get the car running etc what problems may i encounter? the 81.25mm rings are expensive $150 and 81 mm are $40 shipped wtf lol any imput would be greatly appreciated. thanks. has anyone done this to see how it runs lol?

or what size piston rings should i buy and just gap to the 81.25mm size since the 81.25 rings are hella expensive...

what was your gap? and what were the 'specs' you were using?
based on 81.25 and assuming 3.1416 thousandths of ring gap for every inch bore (for NA I'm assuming) the gap you should see should be around .010''(+/-) .001"

honda puts the service limit at .026" so if it's less than that it will work... but it will have hella blow-by
