Default Oil in Spark plug chamber.

I pulled my plug wires and there was lil pools of oil in 3 of the chambers, i got all of oil out and clean them out and drove fer a bit and then checked again, the oil is leaking back the upper plug o rings, they feel old and torn, i ordered valve cover gasket and 4 upper o rings for the chambers, you guys think that will do it for the leaking

there a o-rings at the top of all spark plug tubes. The ones on the leaking tubes must be damaged or worn out

What make model & year Accord do you own?

The Non VTEC F22A1-6 and F22B2 have a second set of o-rings that can leak oil as well.

Yellow = Upper spark plug tube seals
Red = Lower spark plug tube O-rings

If you own a 90-93 F22A1-6 or 94-97 F22B2 and see that the oil is still leaking in after you replace the upper seals. You may want to remove your rocker assembly and replace the lower seals.

Yes, replace those worn out seals and you should be good to go! The H22 only has the upper tube to valve cover seals so no need to worry about secondary seals.

Yea 7lb sounds right, no more than 9. just make sure not to overtighten or you will strip them easily.

Pretty much, just make sure that you remove the assembly all in one piece. Or else you will be putting together a puzzle and not knowing what rocker goes where.

Do you have a shop manual?

You should back off the valve adjusting screws to unload the rocker arms before removing the rocker asembly. After reinstalling and torquing the rocker assembly, adjust the valves. Get at least a Chilton or Haynes manual for proper torque and sequence.

GhostAccord,

For 97 accord LX, the lower o-ring (red inyour picture) in http://www.hondapartsnow.com/online/...er%20Head%20(1) is part # 19, 91301-PT0-003

I can not find the top o-ring, do you know what is the part number? Are top and lower o-ring the same?

Thanks in advance.

Personally I've only ever ordered them as part of the valve cover gasket set.

Here are the numbers I found;

Valve Cover gasket set - 12030-PT0-000

Individual part numbers;
Upper tube seal - 12342-PT0-000 x4 (aka Head Cover Gasket B)
Lower tube o-ring - 91301-PT0-003 x4

If you're going to bother the lower seals, may as well swap in a cam in the process...

swapping the cam could be an unnecessary cost depending on the op's goals.
