some how my car wont start up???here what i check on it..

eg hatch with b16a
heres what on my motor (b16a)

itr ITM
68TB
aem FR
pr3 ecu

gsr trans



check sparks to all plug (good)
all fuse are (good)
all ground (good)
all wire in place

when i towed it home i tried starting it when its rolling...and i'll start but will not go pass 2-2500rpm...and when stop it dies????

....some how one day i was driving n it was bogging out n just die???as for right now if i start it up it'll turn over and every thing but wont start up???
help me out here HT...thanks.

um where that located???is it under the driverside under where the clutch is....

 

my car did the same thing wouldn't work but someone said something on 1 forum and I checked it not even thinking it would work but damn it did. crazy. have your tryied checking your clutch switch I had to put a bolt in the hole on my clutch pedal to make the switch work. try that and see if that is the problem.

ok i got new main relay and it still wont start....but fuel pump pumping into my fuelrail..but still wont start???WHAT COULD IT BE????

 

When my DA wouldnt start it was the Coolant temp sensor. It was throwing too much gas into the combustion chamber and the spark plugs were soaked unable to create spark. Turned on for secs then off. Does it turn over?

 

Another time one of the fuses was dirty and a connection in the fuse box. Try cleaning them

 

um...it dose turn over but just wont start up....i can check my coolant temp sensor...

 

i check and all good n clean..

mine threw a code. I wouldnt just guess. Check 4 codes

 

clutch switch?? he said the motor turns over. if its the clutch switch then it would not even turn over

 

before anything I'd do a wire/plugs/cap/rotor tune up. start from there.

Did you check the oil pressure? Oil pressure sensor, located near filter, also could be bad or dirty. Try any other compatible ECUs? Could be a bad clutch. My car was bogging down and stalled before the clutch went bad. I couldn't rev high at all either. Turns out one of my springs got ripped out and there was a chunk of metal in the housing. Check basics 1st, then eliminate them before considering the major $$ parts.

 

Don't spend any more money or guess just troubleshoot it. Make sure it has fuel. Make sure it has spark. If it doesn't check here: http://techauto.awardspace.com/ignition.html. Does it have a check engine light? If it does check the code flashes on the ECU. Before you buy this, that and the other its best to troubleshoot it.

 

just changed one out on my car.. except it wouldnt start when it got hot but it would throw a code. #6 i believe

 

Just look up the code. For that b16. It might save you alot of headaches. Some people post complete lists of codes. That's how I got my list

 

I just looked up code #6 for a b16 I don't know what obd it was or gen but a guy posted that it was the coolant temp sensor code. When I replaced mine it was $30 for a b18 at autozone. It's really easy to do if you know how to do it. I did it myself. It can get messy with the coolant hoses. Just remember to get all of the oxygen out of your hoses or it might throw codes because the coolant won't be a constant flow. And I replaced my spark plugs too. Gap to spec. Let me know if it was this. So I can be proud to help lol

notto hijack your thread man but im having the same problem as you are. its weird, the car ran like crap one day, then perpetually worse and worse to the pont it just wouldnt run. has spark and fuel.

coolant temp sensor could cause it to not run? srsly?

 

As strange as it sounds. Yes. The coolant temp sensor regulates how much fuel is injected into the combustion chamber at different engine temperatures. When you have a faulty sensor, it could send too much or too little at start up. It can also cause your timing to go all crazy. My car was going crazy for awhile and I could never figure out why. It was the coolant temp sensor. Luckily its a cheap inexpensive easy fix. I never got quoted because I did it myself, but I dont think they would charge that much.

I wouldn't have everyone go out and buy and replace these, but its an easy thing to miss and have you going around in circles. Theres alot of things that can be at fault especially at start up. Fuel filter, Fuel pump, Spark, Sensors, fuses, etc....
