Sunroof Drains & MPG questions
1.so i took out my headliner today to remove some old wiring that previous owner put in. to the point i checked all 4 drain tubes and the front two i can blow into and they are clear but the back two i cant blow into at all and where the hose hooks to the metal frame its rusted right there. i tried what my repair manual said to blow air down the tubes but that didnt work. anyone know how i can clean those out?
2. i didnt want to start two threads but i have a 91 crx si with stock d16a6. what should my MPG be and how many miles should i get to a tank?

my sunroof rear drains where clogged on my 88 si i pulled the rear plastics and cleared out all the crap in the end with a screwdriver (bunch of water and nasty stuff came out) i dont know why but the ends of the drains look fairly easy to stop up (youll know what im talking about when you pull then out)
id figure the stock a6 in proper working order should do 30mpg or better (average)

the rear tubes are located near the tailights. remove the curved plastic access cover to the tailight bulbs and youll see the drain tube. pull on it and take the lil black stopper thing out of the end of it. jab something into the tube to clean out the crud thats in there. i did it to my 90 si and juss left out those stoppers. no leaks since

I've got to try cleaning my roof drain tubes, too. Whenever it rains, the tub inside fill with water and leaks out of the back of the headliner.
Anybody got pics, or a 'how-to'?
I've gotten up to 35mpg in my 90 Si that has over 230K, by driving it gently.

or do i have to take the tail lights off to get to them better?
Ok I found the black stopper thing at the end. After thinking about it a put the stopper things back in. This is just what I think correct me if I'm wrong, but I think it's there to catch the crap and keep it from going into the second drain tube that let's the water out the bottom of the car. The second drain tube seams harder to get to if it needs replacing.
Questin tho. When I conected the drain tube back to the other part is it suposed to fit snug, it's really loose like it takes no effort at all to pull them apart

I've gotten anywhere from 18-38mpg with my 262,000-mile D16A6. Recorded 18.9mpg during a track day at VIR with constant wide open throttle and 7400 RPM shifts. Recorded 38mpg on several highway trips with constant 5th gear use, all shifts below 3000 RPM, and keeping the speed at 65 or lower. I normally recorded numbers between 30-35mpg when commuting.
okay they are draining fine but when it rains i can stick my hand into the area in the truck where the tubes are and there is no leaks but i feel water all over the metal in there. where is that water coming from?
