Aftermarket Ecu
What car is the ecu on. What type OBDI, OBDII ecu and wiring harness are you using. Maybe your O2 sensor is faulty. Have you tried putting back your stock ecu to see if the check engine light comes on?
I was told it was from Integra 94 used for circuit racing in Thailand and I was using stock wiring harness. Currently, use back the original ecu and everthying is OK. Another thing I've noticed, two of my friends had their civic & crx replace with Haltech ECU eventhough it was tuned on the spot. The check engine is on also but the tuners told us not to worry about the warning since the check engine deactivated on stock ecu. So' bit confuss on this one. Any suggestions.
Isn't the Haltech a stand alone computer. Where would the check engine signal come from if you were not using the stock ecu. If your check engine light is on, something is wrong. Try and read what code the ecu is telling you that is wrong.
Yes, that's right but the stock ecu had to be used at the same time for ABS and aircond. Your right, if the stock ecu is unplugged, leaving only the Haltech ecu, the check signal will be off. I've just found out about this a few minutes ago. Well, they don't have to worry about that. In my case, i've tried two aftermarket ecu and both gave check engine on. One of them reading map sensor and the other vtec solenoid. If I've a lot of cash, I would go for the Haltech but for the time being, have to go for the affordable pocket value.

Have you tried your stock computer again to see if it gives the same cel?
If so it is not the ecu.
What ecu are you actually using? P30? On what motor, B18C1? What harness?

Yes and the cell went off but went on back with the same reading after plugging the after market ecu. Mine is the B18C3 (Japanese spec) and used to be auto transmission but did a swap with manual transmission. It's not P30 since the stock ecu has 4 socket (H3-c wiring) while the aftermarket ecu has 3 socket (H2-a wiring). One of the socket on the stock ecu is for the autotransmission and traction control system, therefore, this will not be plugged in to the aftermarket ecu. With the aftermarket ecu, the car can start but the cell definitely light up.

If your car started as an auto and then was changed to manual, youy may have two issues. The wiring harness was made for auto but you are using a ecu made for manual. Shouldn't be a big deal but some wires may be missing that the aftermarket manual ecu is looking for. I am not too familiar with a Honda that has traction control so I am assuming the manual ecu is looking something that the auto ecu doesn't look for. Have you checked if the wiring for auto and manual is the same. Have you checked other people with a similar conversion like yours?
That's right, the wiring harness is mean for the auto and all Japanese B18C3 auto come with TCS (traction control). I'm not worried about the TCS since the cell only indicates either map sensor or vtec solenoid. Unfortunately, I'm the only one in home town gone to this route. Your're right I should check the wiring difference on auto and manual but I couldn't find it on the website. If there is/are differences, I may be able to solve from this route. But like I said, unable to get a complete wiring diagram.
