Default 17x7.5 +45 offset wheel fitment?

Putting some 17x7.5's with a +45 offset on my car cause I have them sitting here and wanting to change up the look. Anyone ran this size with per say a 225/45/17 tire?

By the math they should be a tight fit but I can only do so much with the size numbers. Anyone running this combination and can confirm they fit?

Tight fit how? I don't understand what your concern is. Those wheels aren't very wide and have a high offset.

Front measures out pretty good but on the back I am worried about the tire very close to rubbing agianst the vertical arm part of the knuckle that goes up to the ball joint. Number 2/3 in the parts diagram below is the knuckle for reference.

This is on a 95 ex sedan btw with Ksports coilovers, maybe a 2.25 or 2.5 drop.

Oh I see what you're saying. I can't see how it would be a problem. You should test fit them and find out for sure.

I measured it up best I could with the car on jack stands and there is very little clearance there. When back on the ground or with the suspension moving up and down when driving, I am not sure if I will have more or less clearance in that area.

Thats why I am posting here, I dont want to spend 600 on tires to test fitment cause I will lose my *** trying to resell them if they dont fit. Thats why I was hoping someone here can confirm or deny if they clear.

on a 17x7.5 best bet is to run a 215/45/17.

I ran these with 205/45/17 and no issues. Can't speak for the wider tire though.

I need the width and height to at try to have as much traction as I can muster on these wheels instead of my 15's. This is a turbo car and these wheels are just something I am bored and trying for giggles.

I actually more like the OEM wheels than most anything since I like to keep my car low key sleeper look since basically its all stock looking other than a bit of a drop.

As an update though, I ordered the 225 45 17's already since I am impatient. BFG drag radials for front 2, some brick hard eagle f1's for the rear 2. Will update when I fit them tonight and put the car back on the ground.

if they rub on the inside you can grab some slight spacers since you said you aren't that low.

Well they do clear the suspension in front and rear but WOW its close in the rear. Maybe 3/4" of clearance between the tire and that arm that comes from the knuckle. I put a block and jack under the tire while on stand and raised the tire up to see if I maintain that gap or it closes up as the suspension moves... looks like I maintain that gap all the way up.

A short drive around and a check on the tires for rub marks should tell me for sure but it looks like its ok... although very close clearance in the rear. Also need to check the lock to lock turning to see if the front drag radials are going to rub.

Just as a final update so if anyone ever stumbles across this, they clear and do not rub. If you turn completely lock to lock they will bearly touch the radius rod from the front crossmember.

However I have ESP traction bars on mine so maybe stock cross member and radius rods would be ok.

I rarely turn like completely lock to lock and thats what it takes to rub so for me these fit about perfect.

Do you have any photos of your rims/tires? I'm thinking about using 225/45-17 on my car.
